Asian Lady Bird Beetles can be a problem around the home because
they are seeking a protected area to hibernate for the winter. Seal
cracks and crevices around doors, windows and other areas where
they may gain entry. Small infestations can be removed indoors with
a vacuum. The Asian Lady Bird Beetle also secretes a compound that
has an offensive odor, which can stain fabrics and wallpaper. These
pests will also bite homeowners when disturbed.
Outdoors, spraying the exterior of the house with an insecticide
labeled for this use can help prevent these insects from coming
indoors.
